Review important information below on methods to travel to the Rockwater Secret Cove Resort in Halfmoon Bay, British Columbia.

Getting There

Please review the drop-down options below for important information on travel to and from our venue.

  • A 40 minute ferry is required to get to our venue on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia.

    You have two options to board the ferry:

    • Drive on in a vehicle, or

    • Walk on as a foot passenger

    Drive on in a vehicle

    • Ferry reservations are required if you are travelling by vehicle, and sell out fast. We recommend booking ASAP if you are driving. See further instructions in the “Renting a Car” drop-down.

    • Recommend arriving 45-60 minutes before your reservation’s departure time. BC Ferries will not honour your reservation if you arrive later than 30 minutes before departure, so leave a lot of time and don’t chance it!

    • One roundtrip reservation is required per car.

    Walk on as a Foot Passenger

    • Ferry reservations are not required if you are travelling as a foot passenger; you can walk onto the next ferry available.

  • Book Your Ferry: You will take the BC Ferries route from Horseshoe Bay (West Vancouver) to Langdale.

    • Reservations are essential. Summer weekends sell out quickly. Please book your sailing as soon as they become available at bcferries.com.

    • Recommendation: Aim for a ferry no later than 5:30 PM on Friday to give yourself plenty of time to check in before the Welcome Party.

    The Drive: Once you arrive at the Langdale terminal, it is a scenic 40-minute drive north along Highway 101 to Rockwater Secret Cove Resort.

  • We have arranged a private shuttle for guests who prefer to walk on the ferry.

    Friday Arrival

    • From YVR: If you are flying in, we recommend taking an Uber or Taxi directly from the airport to the Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal (approx. 45–60 mins).

    • The Ferry: Please purchase a walk-on ticket for the 2:25 PM Sailing from Horseshoe Bay.

    • The Pickup: Our shuttle bus will meet you at the Langdale Ferry Terminal upon arrival and take you directly to Rockwater Secret Cove Resort.

    Sunday Return

    • Departure: The shuttle will depart the Rockwater lobby at 11:00 AM to take you back to the ferry terminal for your return to West Vancouver.

    • RSVP: Please let us know in your RSVP if you plan to use the shuttle so we can save you a seat!
